Ruth will share a short multimedia presentation on the science of why sound and vibration affect us physically, mentally and energetically. To embody the concepts presented, the participants will be guided in a short meditative sound bath with sonic instruments. Ruth will also provide complementary, private mini-sessions of Vibrational Sound Therapy (VST) for those that are interested. 

VST combines ambient sound and vibration through the use of therapeutic Himalayan singing bowls which are specially designed to send vibrations down into the body. These deep vibrations affect the body on a cellular level opening up the flow of energy to facilitate the body's own innate healing ability. This non-invasive therapy has been known to reduce stress, improve focus, reduce blood pressure and heart rate, facilitate the release of endorphins and melatonin, reduce anxiety and synchronize the brain hemispheres. 

There is a growing number of hospice care centers, cancer centers and hospitals that have been using sound therapy for pain and stress management. 

Ruth Ratliff, VSTCP is a voice and vibrational sound professional, author and inspirational speaker. She is a licensed Vibrational Sound Therapist with studios in Hope, NJ and at Awaken Sound Health in Chester, NJ She also holds Level 1 certifications in Vocal Sound Healing and Shoden Reiki. She has been a performer for 40 years and holistic voice coach for over 20 years. Ruth is a member of The Sound Healers Association, Holistic Business Association and Natural Life Business Partnership.
